The original HCTA website, depicted above stood the test of decades of time, and as of the time of the publishing of this, TTPC site, is still operational, but possibly not for long.
Back in 1983 there was a group of tennis players every few days at Harder Hall. They aspired to start a tennis club and with a jump start from Dr Vinod Thakkar, they bought the property that TTPC now sits on at the Country Club of Sebring and constructed 6 clay courts, that was in the year 2000. At about the same time, they started The Highlands County Tennis Association, a USTA Community Affiliate. Pictured above from left to right:

Those players are still very active on the court!
Pat Bentz is 91yo and is a Harder Hall Original. He served on the Board of Directors of HCTA for decades, actually only up to a few weeks before publication. He played national level USTA tournaments and still plays a few times a week and he's still GOT GAME! Still plays a couple rounds of golf a week and is a resident of Sebring Country Club.
